A blocked app won't open. Is something broken?

No — that's Unracked working. While a block is running, iOS puts a shield in front of the apps you chose. The shield stays up if you force-quit Unracked, and it survives restarting your phone. That is the whole point of the app: a block you can't get around by closing something.

How do I end a block early?

Tap "Breathe to End", then "Begin". The exercise runs itself: 32 seconds of box breathing — in, hold, out, hold, twice through. There is nothing to press; just follow it. Every early exit costs the same 32 seconds — a focus session you started by hand, and also turning off a schedule or a location that happens to be blocking right now. It's deliberate: stopping should be a decision, not a reflex. Nothing is ever permanently locked; you can leave the exercise at any point, and the exit is always available.

Do schedules and locations work when Unracked is closed?

Yes. Schedules are armed by iOS itself, so a window starts and ends whether or not the app is running. Location blocking uses region monitoring, so arriving at or leaving a saved place is detected with Unracked closed. You don't have to remember to start anything.

Why does Unracked need Screen Time access?

Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework is the only way an app is allowed to block other apps on iOS. When you pick apps, iOS hands Unracked opaque tokens rather than app names — we cannot see which apps you selected, and that selection never leaves your phone. Unracked uses it on your own device, for yourself.

Why does location blocking ask for "Always"?

Arriving somewhere has to be noticed while the app is closed, and iOS only reports that to apps with Always access. Your location is matched entirely on your device — it is never logged and never transmitted. See the privacy policy for the full detail.

Location blocking isn't triggering

Check that Unracked has Always location access and that Precise Location is on, in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Unracked. iOS also detects arrival and departure with a short delay and a margin around the place, so a block can start a minute or two after you get there.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Open Unracked, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account that bought the subscription.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're cancelled in your Apple Account settings: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Unracked. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next renewal. We cannot cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf — for refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

What happens if my subscription ends?

Blocking stops. Any active block is lifted and schedules and locations stop arming, so nothing is left shielded on a phone you no longer have a subscription on. Your blocklist, schedules and saved places stay on the device, ready if you subscribe again.

Deleting your data

Everything Unracked stores lives on your iPhone and nowhere else. Deleting the app deletes all of it — there is no account to close and no server to write to.
